EMPI performed our first successful high order detonation. We are upgrading our facilities, structures and diagnostics for more testing in our deep water quarry.

After years of static testing and modeling, EMPI engineers watched as the warhead and nose assembly accelerated through the New Mexico at Holloman's High Speed Test Track. The item reached the expected velocity and detonated at the end of the track such that the fragment pattern and speed could be captured by high-speed video.
EMPI representatives will be at Sandestin, FL January 27-29 to discuss our ballistic and TEC Torch mine counter measure technologies.
EMPI has been awarded a Navy Phase 1 SBIR to develop a remote non-explosive cable cutter. Engineers will adapt our current TEC Torch systems to allow operators to quickly cut up to a 1.0inch dia. wire rope used during CONREP (connected underway replenishment) operations.
